Author A. C. Durrant
Abigail Durrant
is a Leverhulme Fellow at Newcastle University, based at Open Lab in the School of Computing Science. She holds an MA (RCA) in interaction design and a PhD in social psychology and works as both a creative practitioner and design researcher. With an interdisciplinary career spanning the arts, humanities and sciences, Abigail’s work in recent years has critically explored selfhood and identity in digital cultures, and methodologies of research through design. Her fellowship research specifically investigates the role of interaction design practice in supporting collaboration and communication within interdisciplinary teams working on complex technology research projects that engage academia, industry and the public sector.
